Our client had been postponing renovating their kitchen for decades but were finally ready to take the plunge. They know what they wanted to have in the new space but weren’t quite sure how to get there so they decided to collaborate with No Place Like Home Designs to get the support they needed to pull the space together and help determine priorities as there were several areas of the home they also wanted to update. The home has wonderful light but the walls between the dining room and kitchen made the space feel dark and small and the narrow kitchen layout created bottlenecks when all the family were together. The newly redesigned the space is now anchored by a large island with plenty of task areas as well as seating to make entertaining the entire extended family a joy. Traffic flow is also improved as all walkways around the island allow for two people to pass comfortably and the natural light coming in from the large windows brightens the entire new kitchen area.
